Printable Budget Grids

  • Are you ready to make your budget?
  • Do you like the good old-fashioned method of using a pencil and calculator?

ACEF offers various paper budget grids to help you make an annual forecast and monitor your budget more or less closely. Couples use the standard grids if they manage according to the pot commun  model. Otherwise, the couple grids are more appropriate.

BUDGET FORECAST GRID
  • Do you want to understand where your money is going?
  • Do you want to get a picture of your lifestyle?

This chart allows you to draw up your budget forecast based on monthly averages calculated according to the total income and expenses for one year. It is suitable for most people.

The forecast also makes it possible to determine whether the budget is in surplus or deficit. If the budget is in deficit, the use of a budget monitoring grid is recommended for close monthly monitoring.

ASSETS AND DEBTS GRIDS

These two other grids are complementary to the budget forecast. They are used to draw up a list of your assets and debts. Information on your debts is essential to complete the forecast.

BUDGET MONITORING GRID
  • Don’t have room for manoeuvre?
  • Do you want to decide which payments to prioritise with each pay?

This grid is designed to determine precisely where to allocate the money available for each cash inflow. It allows you to monitor cash flow fluctuations on a monthly basis.

To make it easier to use, we suggest filling in a budget forecast grid beforehand.

Monthly spreadsheets are suitable when all income is received monthly, at approximately the same time. Periodic spreadsheets are suitable when income is paid at different times during the month (weekly, every two weeks or otherwise).

About the grids

These grids were produced thanks to the financial contribution of the Autorité des marchés financiers (Financial Markets Authority), the Caisse d’économie solidaire (Solidarity Economy Fund) and the Fondation pour les consommateurs (Consumer Foundation).
